Artist & Performer

My Philosophy
As an African American of my body type, it is not only my mission but my responsibility to challenge the current aesthetic of dancers, artistry, and beauty overall. While it takes not only educating our peers and youth to start to re-pattern this systematic thinking, it also takes presence. Presence as a strong, confident, black woman in the professional and educational world speaks volumes and makes you aware of our existence, which is the first step towards inspiring young people who look and feel the same. Through my studies, voice, and presence I will enlighten others around me to stand within their spiritual and physical beings to face the complexity of beauty ideology. Each individual is their own artist, with their own personal destination from the journey they have experienced. Through my craft and spiritual awareness, I move to aid these journeys through authentic movement, emotion, and meaning.
